13 November 2021 Update: Royal Caribbean vaccine-eligible guests (above 13 years of age) sailing on voyages departing on or after 21 November 2021 will be required to show proof of vaccination, with the last dose of vaccine received no less than 14 days prior to sailing.

Royal Caribbean will no longer grandfather in any bookings that do not meet this requirement.

SINGAPORE: Royal Caribbean International has shared many new and exciting announcements for Singapore and the region over the past week. As the crew onboard Quantum of the Seas starts to get vaccinated, Royal Caribbean announced another welcoming move in a press release today that all new bookings made from October 1, 2021, onwards will require all guests above 12 years to be fully vaccinated.

“The vaccine requirement is one of the many layers of measures that safeguard the well-being of guests and crew, and Royal Caribbean will continue to evaluate and update its measures as circumstances evolve with various government and health authorities.” Royal Caribbean shared in the release.

It is unclear how the cruise line will check for vaccination status during the booking stage, or if or when the ship will only accept fully vaccinated guests (excluding guests under 12), but this seems to be another step made by the cruise line to move on to a new normal.
