Updated Members Benefits Unique to Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas

In another move to improve the loyalty commitments to the brand, Royal Caribbean announced specific changes and improvements to the Crown and Anchor Society offerings fleetwide - including bringing back the Diamond Lounge and introducing the new Pinnacle Club Lounge for its most loyal customers.

However, the Quantum of the Seas, currently operating 3-and 4-nights Ocean Getaway voyages out of Singapore, does not feature a Diamond Lounge onboard (replaced by a Golden Room for its high-spending casino guests), the Guest Services Team onboard has introduced changes for its Singapore-based members.

The Check-in Experience

Priority Check-In for Crown and Anchor members did not return in this round of updates to the membership programme. Instead, Royal Caribbean now only offers its Pinnacle Club members an ‘expedited arrival’, in which they arrive at the terminal an hour before or after their arrival check-in appointment, as long as it’s during the terminal’s check-in hours.

All other members will not receive any expedited or priority check-in.

A Makeshift ‘Lounge’ - Unique to Quantum

A section of the Vintages Bar on Deck 5 was previously reserved for Diamond Plus guests. However, after welcoming its first Pinnacle Members in May and the recent fleetwide changes to the product offerings, the management has now made improvements and extended this particular corner for its Diamond members from 5 to 8 pm every evening.

In addition to this, as self-service buffets are a thing of the past, the Food and Beverage team has introduced Canapes on-demand, allowing members to enjoy it along with their beverages -  which they still have to redeem with their drink vouchers. Due to limitations, no hot food is served, but the canapes do change every evening.

Diamond members will receive four drink vouchers per day, up to the value of USD 13, and 5 and 6 respectively for Diamond Plus and Pinnacle guests.

Our writers and friends have been using this corner and have found it a quiet place to chat and enjoy conversations with other fellow members. Do drop by to try it for yourself.

Coastal Kitchen and the $25 Dining Voucher

Due to the Safe Management Measures and Healthy Sail Protocols, the Coastal Kitchen - a restaurant reserved for the cruise line’s suite and Pinnacle Club guests, was impacted with a reduced occupancy rate. Hence, reservations for its Pinnacle Club guests have to be made with the Maitre D once onboard. Each Pinnacle Club member will receive a USD 25 credit for speciality dining on Quantum of the Seas.

Priority Access to Theatre Shows

What used to be a reserved section at theatres has now evolved into priority access to seats onboard. The doors to the theatre will open 45 minutes before showtime for Diamond Plus and Pinnacle Club members. However, we have not personally tried if this works. Do note that the Quantum of the Seas theatre shows at the Royal Theatre and Two70 are now segregated by vaccination status, and you will strictly require a reservation if you want to watch them.

No Pinnacle Club Lounge and Top-Tier Party here

Due to the low count of top-tiers in this market, Quantum of the Seas will not offer a designated Pinnacle Club Lounge and Top Tier Party. Instead, they will be invited to the Vintages Bar, along with the other members. However, the Crown and Anchor Loyalty Ambassadors, along with the Guest Services Manager, routinely drop by to check in with the guests and have a friendly chat with us. Huge credits to them for putting in the effort!

The Top Tier party, which was reintroduced on the other ships in the fleet after the recent changes, also did not make the cut due to the low count. However, they confirmed that Recognition Events will still occur when a member moves to a new tier.

Ocean Getaway continues, at least until February.

Royal Caribbean’s CEO Michael Bayley announced earlier that the Quantum of the Seas will be deployed to Alaska in 2022. Though it is unlikely, this suggests that there will be no further cruises sailing from Singapore after Quantum’s last Ocean Getaway cruise departs in February.  The Ocean Getaways sailings performed well with Singapore Residents, with some of the top suites selling out months in advance, we do hope Royal Caribbean announces the new round of sailings from Singapore soon.
