Anthem of the Seas FlyCruise - Day 11: Sea Day Holidays Special | Journeys
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

The temperatures get lower as we head North, back to Cape Liberty, New Jersey. Even though this cruise is technically not a holiday sailing, the ship has kindly prepared Christmas Activities for everyone across all three sea days as we transit the North Atlantic!
Here we compiled a list of Christmas / Holiday Activities we got to do this past few days!
Letters to Santa & More
Throughout the cruise, the Cruise Staff hosted various holiday-themed activities, from Letters to Santa, Family Holiday Card Making, Holiday Charades and many more. Families and friends got together to create something to bring home for the holidays.
Holiday Caroling with Officers & Staff
A sing-along session was held at the Royal Esplanade, led by the cast of ‘We Will Rock You’, joined by Captain Tony, Hotel Director Eve, and many other officers. The Royal Esplanade was filled with guests trying to get on with the festive mood, with classics such as Silent Night and Feliz Navidad throughout the 30 minute session.
A Royal Holiday Spectacular
Featuring the casts of both ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Spectra’s Cabaret’ is a special show just for the festive season. Filled with singing and dancing, alongside the Anthem of the Seas Orchestra, it is a holiday special not to be missed.
Hello ‘Dress Your Best’, Goodbye ‘Formal Night’!
Today was ‘Dress Your Best’ night, replacing its predecessor the ‘Formal Night!’ Many dressed up with the best outfits or attires for the evening, taking photos of the Christmas decorations around the ship, the most popular spot being the Christmas Tree in the middle of the Royal Esplanade. This year - Royal Caribbean went with a more classic, warm-coloured tree, with flowers placed around the ship.
Only difference is that there is no longer a Captain’s Reception. The Captain, along with his officers, use to welcome and send off guests at the start and end of a cruise at the Royal Esplanade, with free beverages on offer, but this is no longer available, presumably due to social distancing concerns.
Lobster Night
The main thing to look forward to on Dress Your Best Night is of course - the lobsters! We headed to the Main Dining Room for Lobster Night, where almost everyone had plates of the Broiled Lobster Tail on their table. Every guest was given two, but could order additional if it was available! Your waiter would assist in deshelling it for you, served with melted butter, baked potato and vegetables on the side.
This is something that Singapore cruises seldom offer! Grab your lobsters!
