Dining-In Suspended - Singapore Returns to P2HA
UPDATE (FEBRUARY 2023): With the lowering of Singapore’s Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) to GREEN LEVEL as of February 2023, the preventive measures and/or testing requirements mentioned within this article are no longer in effect. Guests are advised to enquire with the respective cruise lines for updated Testing, Vaccination Requirements and Preventive Measures.
As Singapore returns to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), we take a look into how this will affect your cruising experience.
Royal Caribbean International
Quantum of the Seas | Sailings from 22* July to 16 August 2021
In an email sent to guests booked on Quantum of the Seas - Ocean Getaway voyages departing 22 July to 16 August 2021, in compliance with the local regulations, the ship will be returning to Phase 2 Heightened Alert with the following restrictions
Reducing guest capacity to 25%, and group sizes limited to two guests.
Guests from the same household may travel in the same stateroom but will be required to remain to a maximum of two per group while in public areas
Restaurants & bars will be closed, but the Main Dining Room menu will be available through room service. Guests will have to dine in their cabins.
Capacity for all live entertainment shows to be restricted to 50 guests.
Permitted onboard activities, such as those in SeaPlex, Activity Zone & Pool Zone will continue to operate at reduced capacity.
Guests who pre-purchased dining and beverage packages will be refunded automatically.
In addition, guests are requested to arrive one hour before their scheduled check-in time to complete a complimentary Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at the terminal before check-in. This is on top of the PCR test conducted in the days leading up to embarkation day.
Guests on the 22 July voyage who no longer wish to sail under these restrictions have the options of a full refund paid within 45 business days. All you have to do is not show up at the terminal for check-in. Guests on 26 July sailings onwards will have an option for a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC).
These changes will take precedence over those announced earlier in the week.
*Guests disembarking on 22 July will not be affected. However, guests sailing on and after 22 July will be affected by the current restrictions.

World Dream | Sailings from 23 July to 18 August
Dream Cruises release a statement - with similar restrictions set out in compliance with local regulations.
Onboard guest capacity will be further reduced to 25%
Guests bookings are to comply with the following:-
Traveling groups to 2 per cabin.
o Guests of the same household with bookings for more than 2 guests per cabin may
opt to continue cruise with proof of valid documentation of the individuals’ household details. Kindly be advised guests are to comply with the current national guidelines and ensure accurate household details are provided to the cruise line.
o Guests associated with the recent Jurong Fishery Port, KTV and any other active COVID-19 clusters in Singapore, including close contacts of these individuals, as well as individuals placed on a Stay Home Notice, Leave of Absence or issued a Quarantine Order will be prohibited from cruising.
• Dine-in service at on board restaurants will be temporarily suspended during this period. For the comfort and convenience of our guests, take-away and room service options will be made available, featuring a wide variety of exciting Asian, international and Halal cuisine.
• Temporary suspension of indoor mask-off activities in accordance with government guidelines
• Permitted onboard activities will continue to operate at reduced capacity and with enhanced social safe distancing measures
Guests who do not wish to sail under these conditions can choose to opt for a full cancellation with full refund, or transfer cruises to eligible sailings. More details on this could be found here.
